The Center will provide a professional presenter to do a four hour training for your parish team.  This goals for this day of prayer and reflection are:

1. To sensitize team members to the importance of becoming a welcoming community and to the personal and spiritual needs of strangers when they first walk through the door.
2. To meditate upon the examples and commands of Scripture, our rich tradition of hospitality, and recent church documents in regards to welcoming the stranger.
3. To decide upon the decision making process that the team will employ.
4. To acquaint the team members with this process and begin to delegate tasks and responsibilities.
5. To motivate and begin to instill a sense of team in its members.
6. To begin to discern God's will for the welcoming program for this parish.

This training is presented in a multimedia format, with prayer, and small group discussions.  At the end of this day of prayer, reflection and instruction your parish team will be equipped to employ the process for creating a more welcoming parish.
